Bio:
Zidane is the main character and hero in FF9. He is determined, and will do what he has to do, even if it means life or death. Zidane is a thief, along with others in the group known as Tantalus. His mission to kidnap Princess Garnet is what gets him involved in the war being waged by Alexandria, against the other countries of the world. Zidane is in love with woman, and therefore, tries his best to impress Princess Garnet.

Bio:
Garnet is the princess of Alexandria, and daughter of Queen Brahne. Confused by her mysterious, yet powerful powers of summoning, Garnet searches for the questions of her life, which she has not found the answers to. Concerned about her mother, she happily agrees with Zidane to kidnap her, in her efforts to talk with her uncle Cid, about her mothers recent irratic actions, and threats towards other countries. Haunted in her dreams by "an eye", she is encouraged even more to find the answers she is looking for.

VIVI Ornitier

Class: Black Mage
Saying: "How do you prove that we exist? Maybe we don't exist..."
Bio:
VIVI is a little kid, but he holds extremely powerful magic, locked within his little body. Hated amoung the other black mages, created by Queen Brahne, VIVI is bullied, and feared. He tries his best to prove that he is different, by trying his best to help other people. VIVI has a dream that one day, he, along with the other black mages, can live in peace with the rest of the world.

Steiner Aledbert
Age: 35

Occupation: Queen Brahne's, and Garnet's bodyguard. Head of the Knights of Pluto
Class: Knight
Saying: "Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude?"
Bio:
The head of the Knights of Pluto, and body guard of Queen Brahne, and Princess Garnet, Steiner is constantly worried about their well being. Steiner, having great respect for VIVI, because of his extrodinary powers, calls him by the name "Master VIVI", and has a gains a special move "Magic Sword" when VIVI is with him.

Quina Quen

Occupation: "taste tester"
Class: Blue Mage
Saying: "I do what I want! You have problem?"
Bio:
Quina is from a clan known as the Qu Clan. Therefore, she can not pronounce words properly, and has improper grammer. Quina is known as a he/she, because the sex of Quina is not known. Quina joins Zidane and the party in search for new food to eat, around the world. Because of her obsession with food, Quina is the most comical character in the game, and her special ability is "Eat". Eat allows Quina to eat a weakened monster, and if successful, and it's the right monster, she can learn a new Blue Magic spell.

Eiko Carol

Class: White Mage/Summoner
Saying: "I don't wanna be alone any more"
Bio:
Eiko is a little girl of strange origins. Living in Madian Sari, with her moogle friends, Eiko studies "Eidolons" (summons) so she can learn about them, and use them, when she can leave Madian Sari at the age of 16, when her powers have fully grown. Eiko has strong powers, and also, a strong link with another character....

Amarant Coral

Class: Ninja
Saying: "The only dependable think about the future is uncertainty"
Bio:
Amarant is also a thief, and is on a search to learn how to become more powerful. Amarant seems cold at first sight, however, inside, he is caring, and dependable. He only believes in working by yourself to get the job done

Freya Crescent

Class: Dragoon
Saying: "To be forgotten is worse than death"
Bio:
Freya is a close friend of Zidane, and is determined to protect her people from the new, uprising evil. Therefore, she joins Zidane, on his journey when he decides to travel to Burmucia, Freya's hometown, after a plea for help comes from there to get defense against the new, powerful forces being led by Queen Brahne. Freya is determined, and helpful, but feels responsible for anything she thinks she could've done differently.
