Okay, this game was great! Okay. Maybe I underexaggerated that one, but it was the best game I've ever played so far to date.
This game had very manty components to it, which not just made the very interesting storyline, but the realistic personalities of the characters. The
graphics weren't exactly the best in the world. Unlike FF8, or FF9, and to be turthful, the characters look like a kid took rectangluar blocks of different sizes and
dimensions and stuck to them together. Now, I don't want to paint an overly-harsh picture of FF7, just because it did it itself, because the graphics in the CG cinema's were absolutely amazing.
Now, as far as the musical score goes, the music approached CD quality. Also, Square did a very good job on using the music to help set the mood in certain parts of the game. And, the magic system. One of the most creative
ideas for a magic system I've seen so far, if not the most creative. However, it is one of those complex-things-to-explain, but easy-to-understand-if-you-play-the-game type as well. So, I'll just ive you the basics. The magic system
was based on magical stones called materia, which enabled humans in the FF7 world to use magic. Materia is created when the earth's "lifestream" basically it's life force comes up through the ground, and crystallizes.
Now, it may not seems to creative to you, but how this is integrated into the storyline, is absolutely amazing. This game along with it's side-quests, which gives it a good replay value, definitely deserves to be rented, and bought by every gamer out there.
